Further to the completion of works to our house Caroline and I wanted to write to you to say thank you so much.
Having worked in property for over 20 years I have suffered the usual highs and lows of the building industry and I have to say that the job you have done is one of the highest of highs.
Your quotation for the work was very competitive and, as I said at the time, due to the complexity of demolishing everything above ground floor and rebuilding and extending the house, I didn’t believe that the programme you suggested could be met. In fact I had allowed almost twice as long, but you hit your deadline to the exact day.
Jobs that run quickly often suffer from lack of quality and/or health and safety is disregarded. However the quality of your work has been of the highest standard and of course, with me and my family remaining in occupation on the ground floor during the works, your close attention to health and safety was clearly demonstrated.
Your almost manic desire to keep the site tidy was also a welcome change and much appreciated as of course it remained our home during the works. I congratulate you on running an excellent business in all these respects.
In addition, without any prompting, you suggested improvements to the detailing and in particular your advice on the finishing of our cedar cladding, the change to the detailing of the dormer windows (which you completely redesigned), the choice of the roof tile and additional Velux windows you proposed made huge improvements to our house which has become more attractive looking than I could have hoped for. You even suggested interior layout improvements to our landing which opened up the space dramatically. I can only thank you for this extra care and attention and the benefit to us is there for all to see.
You have made the stressful process of a major extension of our house a pleasure and the only problem I face now is finding another project to do so I can get you back again.
